 Emergency Vehicle Permits

Effective March 21, 2011, the State Fire Marshal's Office will cease issuing EVP's for all privately operated vehicles (POV) in order to effectively study the use, benefits and consequences in continuing to issue said permits.  All existing POV permits shall remain valid and authorized in accordance with existing policy.

Effective JAN 2008, the Public Education Division has responsibility for issuing all emergency vehicle permits for fire apparatus and personally owned vehicles used for emergency response.

No EVP’s will be issued without the Fire Chief's approval/signature on the proper application form.

EVP’s that are no longer valid should be listed as "VOID" by the Fire Chief on documents sent to the Public Education Division.

EVP’s that are no longer valid should be returned to this office if possible.

Renewal forms for EVP's must include current copies of insurance and registration cards.
