Mission and Responsibilities

The West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office, Regulatory and Licensing Division is responsible for duties which include, but are not limited to administration and enforcement of the following programs state-wide: Electrical Licensing, Storage and Handling of Explosives, Electrical Inspectors, Public Display Fireworks, Building Code Officials, Home Inspectors, Pyrotechnicians, Fire Protection Work and general oversight of all West Virginia Fire Departments.
